Let me see if I can get both big toes in my mouth.

 Ooops. Maybe not.

 Hi there, sweet girl.

Squash n' Spinach

Harper had her 1st real food! It was very exciting and I've been w a i t i n g  for her to taste and enjoy [or not enjoy] all the new flavors!!!!

We started her off with level 2. She is 2 weeks shy of 6 months and the consistency of the food matches her rice.

Checkin out her Winter Squash

A very excited girl! [and even more excited parents and grandparents]

Here we go!!!!

1st thoughts.....

and we're good!!!

and she loved this as much as the squash.

"hurry up, hurry UP!"

GiGi feeding her granddaughter :)

messy mouth

Johnny tries her food. Not too bad...

Daddy. How dare you eat my grub.

She loved both veggies and would have eaten more if we let her. It seems, as of today, we don't have a very picky eater.

But neither me or John are picky. And we won't let her grow up to be picky either. So let's hope it stays this easy :)

pretty, pretty princess

Harper went to her 1st birthday party today! And much to my excitement it was a princess party!

She got all dressed up in her most princessy thing and looked absolutely

ADORABLE

She got hugs and kisses from Belle...

& got to hang out with the big girl princesses.

What a busy day for such a little princess.

shots & stats part deux

Thursday, January 14, 2010
oh man.

Today Harper got her 4 month shots.

I have dreaded this appointment.  I didn't even stay in the room. Due to my last experience with me crying more than she did, I left and let daddy do the dirty work. But he completely delights in being the one to take care of her, so he didn't mind. :)

He said she did so good and stopped crying the second he picked her up to hold and hug her.

Her teeny battle wounds:

I seriously don't think I'll ever forget her face when she got her 1st shots.

Sound dramatic? you just wait till you have your 1st child. It literally makes your heart sore to hear them cry like that.

This is Xerxes. her faithful friend. her nappin buddy.

he accompanied her to get her shots today.

between daddy and Xerxes, they had it covered.

On a lighter note, Harper got another A+ at the doctor today!!!

Weight: 14 lbs. 12 oz  -50%
Height:  26" - 84%
Head: 16.5" -55%

She is still tall and thin. At her last appointment she weighed 10 lbs 8oz, was 23" long and her noggin measured 15"

Big girl!!! We sure do love [and hate] to watch you grow.

bubbles, bubbles everywhere

bubbles, bubbles in my hair

bubbles, bubbles all around

bubbles falling to the ground.

she [absolutely] loved the bubbles...

but i wonder...

...did me and john enjoy watching her discover them even more than she enjoyed playing in them?
